Aviation Manager

At Southern Air Custom Interiors, our passion is for airplanes. Founded in 1989, our dedicated team has grown the company to one of the top aircraft interiors shops in the Southeast United States. Customizing Cessna, Mooney, and Beechcraft has become a cornerstone of our business and we are looking for a manager to lead us into larger aircraft.

 

The manager oversees all aspects of administration, services, and business development. Specifically, manages, coordinates and supervises a wide variety of aviation and aircraft support service operations for aircraft owners, pilots, and other customers. Directs, manages, and plans business and marketing operations. The position requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to create a professional organization delivering the highest level of customer service to business, commercial and recreational aviation customers.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Serves as primary liaison in matters related to the aircraft interiors community, promoting a positive team environment to better serve our customers.

  • Establish a culture that promotes customer loyalty by creating an environment of increased employee engagement

  • Regularly interact with customers to promote the company and to measure the level of customer satisfaction.

  • Use customer feedback to constantly develop and improve capabilities and processes.

 

Management/Operations

  • Works with the Lowden Street team to develop and maintain long and short-range planning initiatives, assisting in the formulation and execution of policies;

  • Submit monthly operations reports

  • Selects and supervises staff; prioritizes, assigns and evaluates the work of staff; provides training, and technical guidance.

  • Establishes a culture of safety and quality in line services, security, customer service, environmental sustainability, facility maintenance.

  • Oversees all security aspects of the facility.

  • Miscellaneous maintenance duties as needed.

 

Marketing/Communications

  • Develops or cause to be developed marketing strategies that increase revenue and visibility in the community.

  • Uses multiple social media marketing strategies to promote Southern Air throughout the industry.

  • Monitors market conditions, industry trends, identifies and promotes new growth and service opportunities.

  • Maintains regular interaction/meetings with based aviation tenants and addresses service and facility needs appropriately to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Assist employees as needed to provide exceptional customer service.

 

Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Knowledge of local, state and federal laws, regulations and policies applicable to the structure, functions, programs and practices affecting operations, services and activities.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and technical procedures

  • Ability to prepare operations reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and software applications.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and the general public.

  • Skill in effectively supervising, leading and delegating tasks and authority.

  • Skill in working independently or as a team member.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Work is located in Haleyville, Alabama

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation preferred
